MIKUMI
Mikumi national park is among the commonly visited parks in the southern Tanzania, with its open horizons and teemed with wildlife of the Mkata flood plains to the grassy plains, forested hillsides, riverine thicket to open savannah traversing through this park give you an ample time to communing with the southern wealth of flora and fauna, the slower you drive the more and unusual you will see, don’t rush to avoid seeing just usually or commonly seen species.
UDZUNGWA
The Udzungwa mountains national park, a sumptuous forested reserve teemed with both indigenous and endemic wildlife (flora and fauna), a waterfall plunging at 170m through a misty spray into the forested valley below. Lifers are also attracted to this bewitchingly park as over 400 species have been recorded here. A hikers and walkers park. A home to endemic Iringa Red Colobus and Sanje Crested Mangabey both occurs nowhere else in the globe.

ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1

Upon your arrival at JULIUS KAMBARAGE NYERERE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (JKIA) DAR ES SALAAM or from the hotel at Dar es Salaam you will be met at 07:00am by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will transfer you by road to STANLEY’S KOPJE CAMP in Mikumi National Park, with lunch at picnic site (lunch box). It’s a 5-6 hours’ drive, with late afternoon to early evening game drive with sunset and wildlife viewing sessions.
Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 2

After a hearty breakfast at the camp at around 08:00 am, start a full day game drive within the Mikumi national park traversing through the flood plains, the riverine areas, Chamgore, among other areas with a wealth of wildlife, with lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game drive, then embark to CAMP. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at camp. .

DAY 3

After a hearty breakfast at the camp at around 08:00am, drive to UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK for hiking through its forests to SANJE WATERFALLS plunge into the waterfalls hole at the base ad swim in the cool waters originating from the Uluguru mountains. Enjoy lunch at picnic site then drive back to STANLEY’S KOPJE CAMP.
Dinner and overnight stay at camp.

DAY 4

After an early breakfast at the camp at around 07:00 am, drive back to DAR ES SALAAM with lunch box at vehicle, transfer to hotel or airport for departure.
