OVERVIEW
Mikumi national park is thus the most accessible part of a 75,000sq.km tract of wilderness that stretches east almost as far as the Indian Ocean. The world’s 3rd largest Ocean. Ruaha national park Tanzania’s 2nd largest park, after the great Serengeti hosts large number of wildlife the most noted animals found in the park are east African cheetah, leopard, lion, wild dogs, hyenas, hippopotami, giraffe among others, it is also having a wealth of bird species with over 550 species have been recorded both indigenous and migratory. Nyerere national park (formerly selous game reserve) is a vital corner for the photographers as well as keen safari goers, allocentrics, wildlife enthusiasts, solo traveler, honeymooners and families/groups who need to catch, feel and experience the thrilling moments while in Africa, with a selection of activities ranging from camping to walking safaris, to boating to game viewing. ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 1
Upon your arrival at JULIUS KAMBARAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (JKIA) DAR ES SALAAM or from the hotel at Dar es Salaam you will be met at 07:00am by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will transfer you by road to SERENA MIVUMO RIVER LODGE in Nyerere National Park, with lunch box within.
On reaching to your accommodation relax from a strenuous drive, dive in the swimming pool to cool off, with early evening boating excursion.
Enjoy meals and overnight stay at the lodge.

DAY 2
After a hearty breakfast at SERENA MIVUMO RIVER LODGE at around 08:00 am, start a full day game drive within Nyerere National Park with lunch at picnic site. Enjoy all of what Nyerere has to offer you from its serene beauty and terrains, its meandering rivers, its lakes and the diversity of both flora and fauna will leave an imprint into your soul/heart, different activities are done here to emphasize the taste of your trip including bird watching safaris, hot air balloon rides, boating, game viewings and many more. After lunch do a short game drive, then embark to the lodge.
Enjoy meals, dinner and overnight stay at lodge. Early morning walks may be arranged.
DAY 3
After a hearty breakfast at lodge at around 08:00 am, start a full day game drive within the park with lunch at picnic site. Enjoy what Nyerere can offer you from the wildlife, both flora and fauna, varied habitats, terrain and other physical features. After lunch do a short game drive, then embark to lodge, walking safari may be arranged.

DAY 4
After a hearty breakfast at lodge at around 07:30am, drive to Mikumi national park, VUMA HILLS CAMP with lunch box within. What we love about the camp is its location, set along the river bank, has writing desk, staff with bubbling personality and an outstanding service with game viewing en-route.
Enjoy meals, dinner and overnight stay at camp.
DAY 5
After a warm breakfast at the camp at around 08:00am, drive to RUAHA RIVER LODGE in RUAHA NATIONAL PARK with lunch box within.
What we love about the lodge is its spacious stone chalets stretching along the river bank, with each chalet having a veranda, sitting area, writing desk, large bathroom and double rooms.

DAY 6
After a warm breakfast at lodge at around 08:00 am, start a full day game drive within the great RUAHA NATIONAL PARK. Enjoy what this magnificent park has to offer. Enjoy lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game drive then embark to lodge.

DAY 7
After a hearty breakfast at lodge at around 08:00 am start a drive to Mikumi with lunch box within, after lunch at picnic site, do a short late afternoon game drive in the park. Then embark to VUMA HILLS CAMP,

DAY 8
After a warm breakfast at the camp, drive to Dar es Salaam, with lunch box within, and drop off at either hotel or airport to catch a flight for departure.
