ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1

Upon your arrival at JKIA DAR, KIA, or from the hotel in Dar or Mwanza you will be met at 08:00am by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will transfer you by air to Mwanza Airport, upon arrival you will be met again by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will transfer you by road to MALAIKA BEACH RESORT, Ilemela Mwanza.
Enjoy meals and overnight stay at the Hotel.

DAY 2

SAANANE ISLAND NATIONAL PARK After a hearty breakfast at the Hotel at around 08:00am transfer to SAANANE ISLAND NATIONAL PARK with lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game viewing then transfer to ASILIA RUBONDO ISLAND CAMP for Dinner and overnight stay. Saanane island national park is the Tanzania smallest park, located 2km southwest from the city center, covering a total area of 2.1 km2, formerly 0.5 km2, saanane was established to promote interest and conservation education in wildlife and promote recreation to the people of Mwanza town, Tanzania as well as international visitors. The park has a healthy population of animal species including the Buffalo, eland, hyrax, porcupine, vervet and patas Monkeys, zebra, warthog, wildebeest among other eye-catching species, birds, reptiles, butterflies just to name a few What we love about the Asilia Rubondo Island Camp is its lakefront location, quality services, the camp immerses guest in the unique ecosystem of an area untouched by man.

DAY 3

RUBONDO ISLAND NATIONAL PARK After a hearty breakfast at the camp at around 08:00am, start a full day game within this magnificent island park with lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short excursion then embark to Camp for dinner and overnight stay. Rubondo island is one of the most unique African destinations, it’s the largest Africa’s island national park, though it does support/protect 11 islets none much larger than 2km2 its green throughout, the island has a total area of 240km2 and measures 28km north-south and 10km East -west width. The highest point of Rubondo is the MASA HILLS with an elevation of 1486m, 350m above the sea level of the Lake Victoria. Rubondo today is uninhabited 80% of the island remains forested with a variety of vegetation types ranging from Acacia Woodland, grassland, Rocky areas and sand beaches with each habitat hosts different species of Animals. Swimming is reputedly safe at least at the beaches in front of the lodge or camp and Victoria itself is a bilharzia free lake, Rubondo has a pleasant climate making your visit a pleasing and unforgettable one. The highlights and popular activities being walking safaris, boat excursions, canoe trips, sport fishing, swimming, and chimpanzee treks.

DAY 4

After a hearty breakfast at the camp at around 08:00am start a half day excursion within the park, with lunch at the camp, after lunch relax for an hour then transfer to MALAIKA BEACH RESORT, Ilemela Mwanza for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5-7

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK After a hearty breakfast at MALAIKA BEACH RESORT at around 07:30am, Drive to Serengeti National park for game viewing en-route, with lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game drive then proceed to SERONERA WILDLIFE LODGE. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay. What we love about lodge is that for those who are anxious to see the amazing culture of local tribes, the lodge offers visits to authentic Maasai villages, where guests can encounter the cattle keepers and warriors, in the evenings, displays of traditional Maasai song, dance and music performances are organized in the lodge as well as wildlife talks, videos and film shows all in all is to ensure that your evening hues bring to your life all the happiness that you truly deserve.
