DAY 1
Upon your arrival at JKIA Dar es salaam or from the hotel in Dar es salaam you will be met at 08:00am by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will arrange and transfer you by Air to KIGOMA airport, upon arriving at the airport you will be met again by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will transfer you by road to KIGOMA HILLTOP HOTEL in KIGOMA

DAY 2-5
MAHALE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
100km south of KIGOMA TOWN lies the Mahale Mountains national park also 50km along the world known longest lake the second oldest lake in the world and least polluted freshwater with over 1000 fish species, the Lake Tanganyika. Mahale Mountains national park hosts over 800 species of wild chimpanzees which are the star attraction, other primates encountered includes red colobus, blue and red-tailed monkeys which are hunted down by these chimps, butterfly and colorful birds are also seen making a trip on this foot-game park more tastier. Set at an altitude of 2462m, the Mahale Mountains range comprises 6 peaks with the highest being NKUNGWE, other peaks towering above 2000m includes Tambila, Mfitwa, Sibindi, Muhesabantu, hiking these peaks especially NKUNGWE gives you a Topographic centerpiece of the entire park plus the Lake Tanganyika.
Chimps may be encountered in the wild preening each other, squabbling noisily, huddling or brachiating between branches.
An array of activities can be done here in Mahale, the highlights being bird watching, hiking, fishing and swimming in the clear waters of the Lake Tanganyika, chimps tracking, visiting the Africa’s 2nd free falling waterfalls, the KALAMBO, and visiting Tongwe people sacred sites among others.

DAY 5-8
GOMBE -STREAM NATIONAL PARKAfter a hearty breakfast at MBALI MBALI LODGE MAHALE at around 08:00am transfer to MBALIMBALI LODGE GOMBE in GOMBE STREAM NATIONAL PARK Enjoy meals and overnight stay at the lodge. What we love about the lodge is that its set in-the shade of ancient forest trees by the shores of Lake Tanganyika, offering complete privacy, a small lodge library, outstanding service and eye- catching breath-taking views. Gombe stream national park is one of Tanzania’s smallest park covering a total area of 56km2, set as an altitude of 1524m above the sea level, being small Gombe is famously known for its prolific primate species with star attraction being the chimpanzees, red-tailed, red colobus and blue monkeys. Other faunal and floral species are present reminding you of where you are. The highlights of this safari includes chimpanzees tracking main activity, swimming, hiking, lakeshore walks, visiting the Kakombe waterfalls, bird watching and taking in scenic views from JANE’S peak.
DAY 8-9
KATAVI NATIONAL PARK
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge at around 08:00 am, drive to KATAVI NATIONAL PARK, with lunch within, after lunch at picnic site do a short game drive then drive to MBALI MBALI LODGE, KATAVI.

Katavi national park lies south-west Tanzania, east of world’s longest and least-polluted freshwater lake, the Lake Tanganyika covering a total area of 4,471km2, the park is isolated, untrammeled and seldom visited, though it has a lot to offer.
Katavi is a haven for myriad species of waders, waterfowls, passerines and also support Tanzania densest concentrations of hippopotami and crocodiles. Mega fauna species are present here, elephant parades, huge herds of savanna buffalo, journey of giraffe, dazzle of zebras, and herd of reedbucks and impalas all providing an ideal source of food to the large prides of lion and clans of hyena. DAY 10
DEPARTURE
After a heart breakfast at MBALI MBALI LODGE, KATAVI at around 08:00am transfer to SITALIKE AIRSTRIP to catch a domestic flight to Dar es Salaam, and connect to your international flight back home.
